For some girls he is kind of a charming prince, for me he is much more than that: he is my big brother (“Hermanote”, in Spanish). His name is Enrique Marquez and he is 22 years old (exactly my age).
I know, our last names do not match. This is because nature did not make us biological brother and sister, but we decided to be related anyway.
In fact, now that I think about it, if we are the same age, we would it be twins… Mmmm well, now I think I went too far…
Why? Because I am a traditional short brunette and Enrique is tall, blond, with green eyes and white skin…actually, he is almost pail. *1
Enrique’s arms are very strong, you can even see his veins, and his hands are big enough to grab his many guitars… ohhhh yeah! The guy is a rockstar!
My “hermanote” plays in two Venezuelan music bands: Fauna and Primera Edición. In fact, as member of the last one, he even got pre-nominated for the Latin Grammys.
However, he is not only a professional guitar player, but is also a Law student at the Metropolitana University *2… and he has a part-time job in a law firm as well. Nevertheless, he is very committed, efficient and responsible with all the activities he has.
Rockstar and lawyer… mmm I know, it seems weird *3…but this is exactly what I like most about Enrique.
For being such a man of all trades, who is regularly in contact with all kind of people, he hardly discriminates someone for his/her appearance. Like me, he does not believe too much in stereotypes, and he can hang out with different people.
In fact, he loves to go out. But he is not a party boy, as many people would think because he is a “rockstar”. On the contrary, he enjoys going to eat, friendly meetings, going to the movies or to a quiet bar to have a drink.
But besides the way he is with other people, I like the way he is with me. I know him since I was six years old, and he has always been a loyal friend. He has never disappointed me, and whenever I need help, he dumps whatever thing he’s doing to lend me a hand. Actually, I can be in the worst mood ever, but Enrique is so funny and such layout person, that he is almost always capable of making me laugh and get calm.
And even though we don’t see each other frequently, because our busy agendas, we know we have each other.
In conclusion…he is handsome, kind, a guitarist, funny, talented, committed, extrovert, a lawyer… but most important of all, HE IS MY HERMANOTE!
